The Goldfire (Orange series)
Drawing on SAI, practicing composition without knowing anything =.=, can somebody teach me about composition..? Pleasssseee TT_TT
Introducing you the story I've been thought lately, The Goldfire. The story itself kinda simple, with 4 main character, which is the three of it is in the picture above. From left to right, Orange Saldin, Mira the Dancer, and Mr. Brown. The relation between them kinda complex, because they have a really different background. Oh, forgot the fourth character, the name is Pyro, kinda cute looking boy. Yeah, Pyro is the only bishounen.. hahaar.. will update with picture of him on future post..

In that picture there are three characters. Two are interacting while one is watching on the sideline. The main action is in the interaction and since they're "closer" to viewer (fill up more than half of space in the canvas, closer to viewer's point of view) the viewers get to feel the action.
But simple action isn't enough so there's a third character in the middle of the picture, standing vertical to the top of the canvas. Her arm directs the viewer's eye from the left character to her, then her eyes directs the viewer's eye from her to character on the right. Finally there's a subtle line that connects the both the male characters, forming a neat triangle shaped composition without being too symmetrical.
